Baby Loss
with Tanya Wilkinson, Grief coach and host of Death on the Daily
What do you actually say to someone whose baby has died, when nothing you say can make it better?

There are things we think about, live through and quietly wonder whether everyone else is thinking too.
Sex. Grief. Divorce. Ambition. Ageing. Motherhood. Money. Our bodies. Wanting more. Changing our minds.
Why Aren't We Talking About This? goes underneath the polite version of the conversation.

Carly Osman-Holme is endlessly curious about people. What we say, what we actually do, the things we worry about at 3am and the slightly weird gap between the version of ourselves we present to the world and what is really going on underneath.
She has spent the best part of twenty years trying to understand people for a living, asking questions, challenging assumptions and looking for the things everyone seems to feel but nobody has quite managed to articulate. She is the founder of Sprowt, where she does much the same thing with businesses trying to work out what is changing and what they should do about it.
Why Aren't We Talking About This? came from taking that curiosity into the rest of life. Partly because she wanted an excuse to ask people questions you're probably not supposed to ask someone you've only just met, partly because she kept having thoughts and discovering other people had been having them too.
And partly, if she's honest, as a fairly elaborate way of avoiding an existential crisis. The result is a growing collection of conversations about the messy, contradictory and often completely ordinary realities of being human.
